ORDER

(This case has been herd through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to file a final report in Crime No.6/AC/2018, pending on the file of 2nd respondent police.

2. The petitioner is sole accused. The crime came to be registered for the alleged offences under Sec.7 and 13(1)(d) r/w 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in Crime No.6/AC/2018. Even though the F.I.R. was registered on 07.02.2018, for more than 4 years, the 2nd respondent did not complete the investigation and file a final report. In those circumstances, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to file a final report.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for respondents, on instructions, would submit that, now the investigation almost completed and the 2nd respondent would file the final report within a period of three months.

4. Recording his submissions, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report on or before 29.04.2022. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
