(Order of the Court was made by S.S. SUNDAR, J.) This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass final orders in the verification proceedings initiated vide letter dated 04.07.2017, taking into account the report of the Anthropologist as well the Vigilance Cell. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for ST Kurumans Community for himself and his other family members. The application submitted by the petitioner was rejected by the Revenue

Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri District, on various grounds. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to approach the 1st respondent to decide the community status of the petitioner. Though the application was entertained and the petitioner was subjected to vigilance enquiry, it is stated by the petitioner that the 1st respondent has not passed final orders. The further case of the petitioner is that the Anthropologist as well the Vigilance Cell have submitted their reports on 12.12.2017 and 28.12.2017 respectively. 3.Though this Court granted time to the learned Government Advocate to verify the status of the application of the petitioner and to report whether the proceedings are pending before the 1st respondent, the learned Government Advocate is unable to get instructions. 4.

by letter dated 04.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner. If any notice is sent to the petitioner by the 1st respondent for further enquiry, the petitioner shall appear before the 1st respondent promptly to avoid any delay. 5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
