O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 1 and 2 to proceed in accordance with the provisions of TANPID Act 1997 as against the accused persons on the complaint lodged by the petitioner.
2.While pending the writ petition, as directed by this Court by an order dated 23.07.2020 the investigation has been transferred to the file of the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai for registration of FIR and investigation. Accordingly, the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai registered the FIR in Crime No.11 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 406, 420 of IPC and under Section 5 of TANPID Act 1997. 3.On perusal of status report filed by the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai all petitioners have also involved other 3 cases on the file of the District Crime Branch, Vellore in Crime No.35 of 2019 and Crime No.26 of 2020 on the file of the District CCB, Madurai and Crime No.
16 of 2019 on the file of the Central Crime Branch, Salem City, under the similar nature of offences. Therefore the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai is directed to proceed with the investigation. The status report also revealed that in the above 3 cases registered as against the accused persons. The relevant records in the above cases have been sent to the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai for investigation. Now the investigation as in progress.
4.Recording the said facts, this writ petition is closed. However, the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Headquarters, Chennai is directed to proceed with the investigation as against the accused persons in accordance with law. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
