ORDER
The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.02.2025, seeks bail in S.C.No.109 of 2022 on the file of the learned District and Sessions Court, Nagapattinam, for the offence punishable under Sections 449, 342, 302, 506(ii), 147, 148, 120(b), 109 of IPC in connection with Crime No.595 of 2021, registered on the file of the respondent.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an accused facing trial in S.C.No.109 of 2022 on the file of the District and Session Judge, Nagapattinam. He further submitted that since the petitioner was ill, he was unable to appear before the trial Court, and he was issued with the nonbailable warrant on 11.10.2022 and pursuant to the same, he was arrested on 26.02.2025. He also submitted that the petitioner will undertake that hereafter he will regularly appear before the trial court on all hearing dates and also stated that he is prepared to comply with any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that since the petitioner, facing trial in S.C.No.109 of 2022 on the file of the learned District and Sessions Court, Nagapattinam, has failed to appear before the trial Court, the trial Court has issued a NBW against the petitioner on 11.10.2022 and pursuant to the same, he was arrested on 26.02.2025. He further submitted that apart from this case, petitioner has eight previous cases. Hence, he oppose for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
