ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.222 of 2016 pending on the file of the third respondent police to any other police station for proper and further investigation and file a final report in accordance with law, within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is the case of the petitioner that in the early morning of 9.5.2016, a sum of Rs.10,10,000/-, two cell phones and 2-1/2 sovereigns of gold were found missing in his house. Hence, immediately, he lodged a complaint with the third respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.222 of 2016. Thereafter, the third respondent police has not taken any steps to conduct investigation on his complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. On the other hand, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the third respondent had already acted upon the complaint given by the petitioner and he is now investigating the case.

4. However, to give a quietus to the matter, this Court directs the third respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.222 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
