Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to conduct enquiry and submit a report as per the proceeding in Na.Ka.No.K1/53215/2021 dated 10.11.2022 as directed by the 2nd respondent and direct the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action on the report.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.E.Sathiyaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, for the respondents.

2. The petitioner alleges encroachment on the common pathway and/or on the site reserved for public purpose.

3. The learned State Government Pleader submits that the Special Tahsildar, Adidravidars Welfare had conducted site inspection on 05.10.2023 and found 4 families residing in the sheet houses on the land reserved for common purpose of the colony. Necessary facts are being reported to the District Adidravidar Welfare Officer for orders to evict the encroachment. Necessary action would be taken in that regard.

In view of the said statement, no further orders are necessary. The writ petition as such is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
