Writ Petition under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection for performing "URS" festival and other religious ceremonies to be held between 31.01.2024 to 02.02.2024 in the burial place of Late Haxrat Faizee Shah Noori by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023 and pass suitable orders. O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner to perform "URS" festival to be held from 31.01.2024 to 02.02.2024, based on the representation made by the petitioner on 06.12.2023.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the representation made by the petitioner to the 3rd respondent will be considered by the 3rd respondent . 3.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner in accordance with law and while granting the police protection, it will be left open to the 3rd respondent to impose necessary 2/4

conditions and the same shall be complied with by the petitioner. 4.
