ORDER

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4 (1) (A) TNP Act and 8 (b), 20 (a) (i) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.254 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation in this case is that the petitioner joining hands with his wife involved in cultivation of Ganja in their terrace. Hence, the complaint. __________Page 1 of 4

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) reiterated the prosecution case and also submitted that the petitioner is having ten previous cases. Majority of those cases are I.P.C. offences and she further submitted that apart from cultivation of ganja, the petitioner was also found in possession of 5 bottles of 180 ml liquor.

5.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.Considering the fact that the petitioner is having bad antecedents and it is also a case of cultivation of ganja on the terrace of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.
