The petitioner/A1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.12.2023, registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 273 and 328 of IPC read with 24(1), 6(b) of COTPA Act,, in Crime No.1170 of 2023, seeks bail.

2. It is contended that Rs.4,500/- tobacco packets have been seized from the petitioner herein and also cash of Rs.74,000/- had also been seized. The total value of the products seized is Rs.46,000/-.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner is a person of advanced age and stated that the petitioner would abide by any stringent condition.

The value of the product is also substantial, the quantity of the products is also substantial and the investigation is also still pending and the petitioner is the first accused out of four accused, at this stage, I am not inclined to bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
