This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and property, based on the representation dated 30.12.2024.

2. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent submits that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent conducted an enquiry and found that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner and the counterparty in O.S.No.350 of 2024 on the file of the Additional Sub Court, Tindivanam. Therefore, the direction sought in this petition cannot be granted.

3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to seek appropriate relief before the Civil Court in the manner known to law.
