ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondents more particularly the second respondent from insisting the petitioner to produce the no objection letter and the copy of the renewed lease deed from the third respondent for a further lease period from 31.12.2025 to run the Bar attached with the TASMAC shop at the premises morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition.

2. The petitioner was having a licence for running a Bar in the premises attached to a TASMAC shop. Since no objection letter has not been issued by the landlord (third respondent), the petitioner's licence has not been extended for a further period by the second respondent. The petitioner has given a representation on 20.12.2025 to the second respondent to renew the Bar licence granted to the petitioner from 31.12.2025 based on the circular dated ...12.2025 issued by TASMAC in RC. No.Q6/E238515/2025. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Mr.K.Balakrishnan, learned standing counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the third respondent in this petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law after issuing notice to the third respondent and hearing her objections within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2025, seeking for renewal of Bar licence in favour of the petitioner for the TASMAC Shop attached to the Bar at the premises morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the objections of the third respondent as well as any other third party whom the first respondent deems fit to enquire after giving due consideration to the circular dated ...12.2025 issued by the TASMAC in RC. No.Q6/E238515/2025.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
