Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the fifth respondent to consider petitioner's representations dated 15.07.2020 and 13.07.2022 and appoint the petitioner to a suitable post under compassionate ground.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for compassionate appointment on account of death of his father (Late) Rajalingam while in public service. At the time of his father's death in the year 2010, the petitioner was a minor. The petitioner now has attained majority and completed his B.Com (C.A.) Degree. According to him, he is eligible to get compassionate appointment now.

The petitioner has given representations on 15.07.2020 and 13.07.2022 to the respondents requesting them to grant 2/6
compassionate appointment in his favour. Since the representations have not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition. 3.
Heard Ms.Kanimozhi Mathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.U.Dinesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondent nos. 1 to 3 and Mr. G.Krishna Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondent nos. 4 and 5.

The petitioner has filed documents along with this writ petition in respect of his case that he is eligible to get compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father (Late) Rajalingam while he was in service with respondent / bank. 5.
No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representations, as stated supra, are considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Based on the documents produced by the petitioner, it is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and decide as to whether the petitioner is entitled for compassionate appointment or not.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs respondent nos. 4 and 5 to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 13.07.2022 seeking for compassionate appointment on account of death of his father while in service in the year 2010 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
