Prayer in W.P.No.185 of 2022: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest to the petitioner in accordance with the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act in respect of the acquisition of lands comprised in R.S.No.44/5c for an extent of 0-40-15 hectares at Pillaichavady, Pondicherry.

Prayer in W.P.No.187 of 2022: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest to the petitioner in accordance with the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act in respect of the acquisition of lands comprised in R.S.No.97/8 for an extent of 0-18-00 hectares at Chinnakalapet, Pondicherry.

2021, in the light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Union of India Vs. Pushpavathi & others reported in 2018 (4) MLJ pg.140, after issuance of notice to the petitioners and counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, both the writ petitions are disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
