The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, to dispose of M.C.No.02 of 2022 within a time frame 1/4

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the 1st petitioner is the wife and the 2nd petitioner is the daughter, who have filed M.C.No.02 of 2022 seeking maintenance and the same is pending consideration. The learned counsel contended that the petitioners have already let in their evidence and the respondent is unnecessarily prolonging the proceedings by repeatedly seeking time to examine further witnesses, which has been routinely granted by the learned trial Judge. 3.

Considering the above submission and having regard to the nature of the proceedings, this Court directs the trial Court to proceed with the trial in M.C.No.02 of 2022 and to complete the same expeditiously, without any delay, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
