PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus,calling for the records relating to the detention order in 1207/BCFGISSSV/2024 dated 06.12.2024 passed by the second respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Manikandan @ Mani, aged 28 years, S/o. Stalin, who is presently confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble M.JOTHIRAMAN, J.) Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent authority vide G.O.Rt.No.335, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 24.01.2025 and thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken.
In view of the above submission, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
