This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the arrears of pay as per V Pay Commission for the period from 01.06.1988 to 31.07.1989 based on the representation made by the petitioner on 23.01.2019.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he entered service as Record Clerk in the year 1958 and he attained superannuation on 31.07.1999 in his position as Manager of Karaikudi Municipality. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was entitled to receive arrears due from 01.06.1988 to 31.07.1989 and he was only partly paid and the balance of the arrears was not settled. The petitioner was making representations to the respondents. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.
