O R D E R

The petitioners herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(B) of Tamil nadu Prohibition ( Amendment) Act 2024 in Crime No.536 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners was involved in illegal possession of 345 brandy bottles each containing 180 ml for the purpose of selling. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioners are ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that apart from this case, 1st petitioners has one previous case and the 2nd petitioner has no previous case. However, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Considering the quantity of the liquor bottles involved in this case and if the petitioners are granted anticipatory bail, there is a likelihood that they would involve in similar offence, hence this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
