( Criminal Jurisdiction ) Tuesday, the Eleventh day of January Two Thousand Twenty Two PRESENT The Hon`ble Mr Justice A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS PETITION No.146 of 2022 IN CRL.R.C.NO.968 of 2021 N.ELANGOVAN [ PETITIONER ] Vs B.SRINIVASAN [ RESPONDENT ] Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.R.C.NO.968 of 2021 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to grant the extension of time of Four weeks to comply the conditions which were imposed by the Hon'ble Court, Madras by an order dated 15.12.2021 in CRL.MP.NO.13026/2021 and thus render justice. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.R.C.NO.968 of 2021 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of MR.P.
SARAVANAN Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court, by an order dated 15.12.2021, while suspending the sentence had directed the petitioner to deposit 50% of the cheque amount within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
2. He would further submit that the order copy was made ready on 16.12.2021, however, since the Courts were closed for Christmas vacation, the petitioner was unable to file the petition seeking for extension of time and the petition has been filed immediately on the date of reopening the Court.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, time granted by this Court in Crl.M.P.No.13026 of 2021 by order dated 15.12.2021 is extended by further period of two weeks from today. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
