The petitioner is the accused and the third respondent is the de facto complainant. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records in S.C.No.142 of 2016 pending before the SC/ST Special Court at Villupuram and quash the same on the ground that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties.
2.In the affidavit filed in support of this Criminal Original Petition, it is stated that on the advice of the police and revenue officials, the dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent has been amicably settled in order to build peace and harmony in the village in future.

3.The petitioner and the third respondent appeared before this Court. Their identities have been verified and they accepted the contents in the affidavit as true and genuine. 4.In view of the above, the proceedings in S.C.No.142 of 2016 pending on the file of the SC/ST Special Court at Villupuram against the petitioner, is quashed, and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
