The petitioner has filed this writ petition to direct the first respondent to issue Affiliation letter to the petitioner institute for the MBA course in terms of the communication bearing Lr.No.227/CAI/AU/2018 dated 09.07.2018 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to include the name of the petitioner institute in the single window counselling for the MBA course for the academic year 2018-2019.

The brief facts, which are required, for disposal of this writ petition are as follows:- The petitioner has submitted an application to the respondent University for admitting students in the Course of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in the year 2007 to the erstwhile Anna University, Coimbatore. The petitioner himself has admitted that the second respondent has sent a communication dated 14.06.2018, to all the Government/Government Aided/Self Financing Engineering Colleges, to furnish details of seats to single window counselling on or before 06.07.2018. Further, the first respondent in its proceedings dated 09.07.2018, has granted provisional affiliation to the petitioner on and by letter dated 10.07.2018 of the first respondent, the provisional affiliation was confirmed by a written communication vide reference Lr.No.02/AFFLN/CAI/ CBE/AU/2018-19/7229.

It is seen from the records that this Court has passed an order in W.P.No.20007 of 2018 and W.M.P.Nos. 23425 & 23426 of 2018 dated 03.08.2018, wherein it has been held as follows:- "Without prejudice to the right of the parties, there shall be an interim order permitting the petitioner to fill up the management quota seats for the present academic year. This Court makes it clear that the candidates, who are going to be admitted in the Management quota, shall be informed about the pendency of this writ petition and that the admission in the management quota would be subject to the result of this writ petition and the consequential order will have to be faced by the students. Post on 14.08.2018."

Though the petitioner was permitted to fill up the management quota, it is not possible for him to fill up the common quota as alleged by the respondent. However, it is not in dispute that the petitioner has obtained the provisional affiliation by the communication dated 10.07.2018. Hence, the
admission made by the petitioner by filling up the management quota is proper, though the permission was granted subject to the result of the writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent has also no serious objection. 5.
Accordingly, the writ petition is closed by observing that the admission in the management quota made by the petitioner in the MBA Course for the Academic year 2018-2019 is valid and no further order is required in this case. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
