Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3 and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this matter. In view of the nature of order passed in this Writ Petition, no notice is thought necessary to R4. Hence, by consent of learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for R1 to R3, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3, the District Collector, the District Revenue Officer and the Revenue Divisional officer, to consider his representation dated 19.11.2021, in line with Rule 20 of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules 2009 (in short 'Rules').
3. Mr.Jayaprakash points out that the representation as aforesaid does not refer specifically to the enactment, however, as the representation has been filed by a senior citizen as against the alleged illegal occupation of his property by R4 leaving the petitioner homeless, and assures the Court that needful will be done in accordance with the aforesaid enactment and Rules expeditiously.
4. This Writ Petition is thus closed issuing mandamus to R2 to act upon petitioner's application dated 19.11.2021, in accordance with law and the Act and Rules, after hearing the petitioner as well as R4, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from today.
