ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner submitted to the respondents to sanction annual increments due to the petitioner from 01.04.2016 to 01.04.2025 by the respondents in the revised scale of pay ordered in G.O.Ms. No.303 Finance (PC) Department, dated 11.10.2017 and to pay the arrears of pay and allowances due to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as B.T. Assistant on regular basis from 01.06.2006 and the petitioner was sanctioned with annual increments till 01.04.2015 and thereafter, it was not sanctioned in view of initiation of charges against him and the petitioner was imposed with the punishment of dismissal from service vide Government Order

dated 17.12.2024 and dismissed on 09.01.2025. He contended that as per Rule 24 of the Fundamental Rules, the annual increments due from 01.04.2016 to 01.04.2024 ought to have been sanctioned as the same were already accrued to the petitioner and also that the pay revision ordered vide G.O.Ms No.303 dated 11.10.2017 has not been given effect and therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 21.12.2024, however, there was no response and hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed to grant the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2024 in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
