Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus Calling for connected records pertaining to the passing of the order dated 14.01.2016 in proceedings F.No. N12011/9/2016-NC passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to accept the renewal application dated 03.07.2015.

ORDER
The learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the renewal application was submitted by the writ petitioner long after the expiry of the period. As per Rule 8-B of the Notaries Rules, 1956 renewal of certificate of practice issued under Sub-Rule
(4) of Rule 8 may be renewed for a further period of five years https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
on payment of prescribed fee. An application for renewal of certificate of practice shall be submitted online in Form XVI to the appropriate Government before six (6) months from the date of expiry of its period of validity.
2. However, in the present case, the petitioner had submitted the application beyond the period of limitation contemplated under the Rule and therefore, the Authorities were not empowered to consider the renewal application submitted by the petitioner.
3. Thus, the writ petition is not entertainable and consequently, stands dismissed. No costs.
