Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the election to the Tamil Firm Producers Co-operative Housing Society Limited in a free and fair manner by following the procedure established by law and by giving equal opportunity to all prospective candidates in the ensuing election for the year 2018 for the Tamil Film Producers Co-operative Housing Society Limited.

This writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the election to the Tamil Firm Producers Co-operative Housing Society Limited in a free and fair manner by following the procedure established by law and by giving equal opportunity to all prospective candidates in the ensuing election for the year 2018 for the Tamil Film Producers Co-operative Housing Society Limited. 2.After taking notice, Mr.L.P.Shanmugha Sundaram, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent reported that the election to the first respondent has been cancelled now.

3.In view of the cancellation of the election, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected M.Ps are closed.
