[Order of the Court was made by M.VENUGOPAL, J.] The Petitioner has preferred the instant Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to dispose of the Appeal dated 01.11.2017.

2. Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Counsel for the Respondents 1 and 2.

3. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the Appeal preferred by her before the 1st Respondent [through the 2nd Respondent] on 01.11.2017 is pending for more than four months for disposal and because of the same, her further promotions are being affected.

4. It appears that in the Departmental Enquiry conducted against the Petitioner, the punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect was awarded on 04.04.2017 by the 2nd Respondent / Learned Principal District Judge, Tiruppur District, Thiruppur.

Considering the fact that the Petitioner's Appeal dated 01.11.2017 is pending before the 1st Respondent, viz., the Registrar General, High Court, Madras, this Court directs the 1st Respondent to take necessary steps for early disposal of the Appeal dated 01.11.2017 of the Petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
