PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in C3/D.O./76/2023 on the file of the second respondent, quash the detention order dated 21.11.2023 and direct the production of the detenu Thamizh @ Thamilarasan, aged about 21 years, S/o.Manikandan, presently detained at the Central Prison, Cuddalore, as a Bootlegger under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.7360, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 29.12.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
