Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore the admitted seat to the petitioner granted by the 1st respondent in the 3rd respondent college or allocate a seat for the petitioner in a government institute for the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO) course in and around Tamil Nadu, as only southern states was preferable choices of the petitioner in round 1 AIQ by providing equitable compensation seat through investigation and rectify the errors in admission status and seat withdrawal procedures done in an arbitrary manner. ORDER

The petitioner filed the above writ petition for issuance of a direction to restore the admitted seat to the petitioner granted by the 1st respondent in the 3rd respondent college and to allot a seat in any Government institute for Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO) course in and around Tamil Nadu. 2 / 6

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 07.01.2025, this court passed an interim order, directing the respondents to reserve one seat for the petitioner in the Government Institute for the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO) course, pending disposal of the writ petition.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 14.02.2025, the learned counsel for the 1st respondent pursuant to the above order of this court, produced a provisional admission letter, whereunder the petitioner was allotted a seat in (NBEMS-DIPLOMA) Obstetrics and Gynaecology in General Hospital Arakalagud Road, Holenarasipura Taluk, Hassan District, Karnataka. The learned counsel for the 1st respondent submitted that in the light of the aforesaid provisional admission letter nothing remained for adjudication in the writ petition. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner joined the course in pursuance of the provisional allotment order issued by the 1st respondent, but prayed for two weeks time to the petitioner to complete the prescribed admission formalities.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for 3 / 6

the 1st respondent submitted that in the online portal of the respondent, the allotment granted to the petitioner was uploaded and therefore nothing further remains to be done towards admission formalities. The learned counsel for the petitioner conceded that nothing further remains to be done and submitted that the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. In the light of the submissions of the learned counsels, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
