ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.399 of 2014 pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Pappathi @ Manoranjitham, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police about the theft of jewels and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.399 of 2014 for the offence punishable under Section 380 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 25.03.2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that the case is pending from the year 2014, this Court directs the respondent to conduct investigation and file final report in Crime No.399 of 2014 pending on his file, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
