A.No.28 of 2021 in C.S.S.R.No.868 of 2021 A.No.28 of 2021 in C.S.S.R.No.868 of 2021 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN J, This application has been filed seeking leave to sue against the defendants 1 to 14, 16 and 17, 20 and 21, 23 to 30, 35 to 38.

2. It is stated that the applicant / plaintiff is the co-producer of the cinematographic film titled MASTER in Tamil language. It is stated that it is scheduled to be released in more than 1000 theatres across the world and including in Chennai on 13.01.2021.

3. The suit had been filed to prevent infringement of copyright by Internet service, providers and cable TV operators, who are listed as defendants. It is also been stated that if the film is released in the Internet, it can be downloaded at any place particularly also in Chennai. It has been therefore stated that substantial cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court.

4. In view of these facts, since the respondents 1 - 14, 16 - 17, 20 - 21, 23 - 29 and 35 - 38 are outside the jurisdiction of this Court, leave is sought.

5. Leave is granted.
