Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 30.12.2016 in Memo No.C2/32034/2016/Black Marketing Act and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondent to produce the petitioner's son Senthil Kumar, S/o.Panneerselvam, aged about 33 years, who is now confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore before this Court set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C2/32034/2016 dated 30.12.2016 by the Detaining Authority against the detenue by name, Senthil Kumar, aged 33 years, S/o.Panneerselvam and quash the same.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.31 dated 23.02.2017 and to that effect, a copy of the same has been submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.

3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought for in the petition has become infructuous.
