ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Tiruvannamalai District, to accept the surrender petition in Crime No.182 of 2025 on the file of the Vandavasi North Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District and to consider the bail petition of the petitioner on the same day.
2. Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) opposed for grant of order.

In view of the specific bar under Section 18 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and also taking into consideration the possibility of misusing the pious intention of the Parliament against innocent persons, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Tiruvannamalai District to consider the petitioner's bail application, preferably on the same day of his surrender, in connection with Crime No.182 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, 2/4
after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioner shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
