Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to renuew the licence for another 3 years from 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2017 and consequently directing the respondent to make the demand for 2817.1 meters alone for the years viz., 01.04.2013 to 31.03.2017 and adjust the licence fee from the compensation amount payable 1/4

to the petitioner and refund the balance amount with 18% interest from the date of removal of advertisement board put up by the petitioner in Avinashi Road and pass such further orders.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 26.03.2025, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the Registry was directed to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 28.03.2025.

2. Even today, 28.03.2025, when the matter was taken up for hearing at 11.50 a.m., none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. It is made clear and evident that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case.

3. Since there is no representation for the petitioner, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. 2/4

In the result, the writ petition stands dismissed for NonProsecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
