... Respondent This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Mr.K.Varadha Kamaraj, learned counsel for the appellants and Mr.A.Vinodraj, learned Counsel for the respondent. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT As against the award amount of Rs.8,65,600/- with further interest at the rate of 7.5%, the parties have agreed to settle for a total as full quit. The entire amount of Rs.11,00,000/- (Rupees Eleven Lakhs only) shall be deposited to the credit of MCOP.No.2549 of 2017. 2.In view of the above, the settlement for the total sum of Rs.11,00,000/- (Rupees Eleven Lakhs only) as full quit is recorded. 3.The appellant undertakes and as such is directed to deposit the entire amount of Rs.11,00,000/-, within a period of eight weeks from today. The Claimant/Appellants will be entitled to withdraw the said sum on proper identification and verification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

4.In view of the same, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands disposed off. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition/s is/are closed, if any.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement. The full court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 2 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
