(Order of the court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN.J.,) This Writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to form a peace committee in view of G.O.Ms.No.744 dated 17.07.2000 and consequent G.O.Ms.No.912 dated 23.08.2000 with appropriate direction and guideline.
2.Heard Mr.N.Devarajan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Fakkir Mohideen, learned Counsel appearing for R1, Mr.M.R.Jothimanian, learned Counsel appearing for R2 and Mr.K.Magesh, learned Special Government Pleader for R3 to R6. 3.Though there is G.O.Ms.No.744, Home (Police IX) Department, dated 17.07.2000 for constituting committees at Chennai City and District Level, as per the Judgment of this Court, the Government in G.O.(Ms) No.1249, Home (Police IX) Department, dated 28.12.2006 constituted State Level Coordination Committee to sort out the disputes between Police and Lawyers.
