Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd Respondents to issue a Patta name transfer in favour of the petitioner pertaining to property situated at Door No.35, Pazhandiamman Koil Street, Adambakkam, Chennai-88 comprised in S.No.196/1, measuring an extent of 1467 sq.ft. situated at Adambakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing 2nd respondent to issue patta in favour of petitioner.

2. Earlier, when the matter came up for hearing, it was reported that based on the application filed by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent had fixed the enquiry on 28.02.2020. Hence, the matter was adjourned.

3. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that now the enquiry was over and the 2nd respondent Tahsildar is keeping the orders pending due to the pendency of the Writ Petition. Hence, the 2nd respondent may be directed to pass final orders within a time to be fixed by this Court.

4. Considering the fact that the enquiry was over, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
