The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.02.2016 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 307 and 506(ii) IPC, in Crime No. 411 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner demanded rowdy mamul for a sum of Rs.4,200/- from the de-facto complainant and when the same was refused, the petitioner assaulted him with knife on the head and right Arm. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated as accused in the present case. It is further submitted that this case has been foisted against the petitioner due to wordy quarrel and the petitioner is in judicial custody from 25.02.2016 and therefore, he may be released on bail.
4.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent vehemently opposed the bail petition contending that the petitioner has involved in 8 previous cases. However, he concedes that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 25.02.2016 and the injured has been discharged from the hospital.

vsg/gya 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the duration of the custody and the injured has been discharged from the hospital, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] with two sureties each for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai - 600 008 and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m., for a period of one month. 04.05.2016 vsg/gya Crl.O.P.No. 10018 of 2016
