ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 6(4) of TN Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order, 1982 and Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Cr.No.449 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons were in illegal transportation of 25000 Kgs of Public Distribution System (PDS) Rice in Taurus Lorry. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner along with other accused persons were in illegal transportation of 25000 Kgs of Public Distribution System (PDS) Rice in Taurus Lorry. He further submitted that there are three previous cases similar nature pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the illegal transportation of huge quantity of PDS Rice and the previous cases similar nature pending against the petitioner. If he is granted anticipatory bail, he would abscond. In such circumstances, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition seeking anticipatory bail is dismissed.
