Seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection for hoisting Janda (Flag) and perform Santhana Koodu function at Hazrath Khadervali Nagoor Andavar Janda Dargah, Chennai on 22.04.2015 at 6.00 p.m., the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner wants police protection for conducting a festival in the prison ground. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Such a direction for police protection cannot be given because the rights of the petitioner should have been determined by an appropriate Civil Court. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
