J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The claim of the petitioner for correction of date of birth was rejected by the writ Court solely on the ground of delay.

2. The petitioner who joined the services in the year 1987 had applied for change of date of birth in the year 2024 almost at the verge of retirement. As per Section 59 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 the petitioner should have applied within 5 years from the date of entry into service. The application made in the year 2024 is highly belated. In view of the delay, we do not find any error in the order of the writ Court.
