The petitioner seeks early disposal of HMOP.587 of 2017 filed by him seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty. The original proceeding was initiated by him at Sub-Court, Tambaram in HMOP.No.587 of 2017.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent is absent. Considering the limited prayer sought for, I do not think that this case should be adjourned on the ground of absence of the counsel for the respondent.

3. Ms.B.Dayalu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the above HMOP.No.587 of 2017 has been transferred to SubCourt, Alandur and numbered as HMOP.No.331 of 2021.

4. A perusal of the docket orders passed shows that the proceeding is pending for more than 4 years and the same has been adjourned for filing counter by the respondent till 24.11.2019. Considering the fact that the original petition is pending for nearly 4 years now, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Sub-Court, Alandur to Page No.2/4
