Respondent Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give the employment who applied through the advertisement No.e/f/vz; /460/2020/rjp1 September, 2020 to the petitioner as per the application No.00081 dated 25.09.2020 based on the letter No.Na.Ka.No.040/2019 dated 19.07.2019 issued by the Collector.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to give the employment to the petitioner, who applied through the advertisement No.e/f/vz;/460/2020/rjp1 September, 2020 as per the application No.00081 dated 25.09.2020 based on the letter No.Na.Ka.No.040/2019 dated 19.07.2019 issued by the Collector.

2. Ms.M.Lalitha, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner is a destitute widow and she has made an application for employment in Nutrition Meal Scheme of the Government of Tamil Nadu. On receipt of her application, the District Collector, Thiruvallur has replied vide letter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.Na.Ka.No.040/2019 dated 19.07.2019 that there was no vacancy and the vacancy requirement will be advertised in the news paper. At that time, the petitioner may make an application to the panchayat board office and avail the benefit. As per the order of the District Collector, she has applied for the post of Nutritious Meal Scheme Teacher on 25.09.2020 as per the advertisement No.e/f/vz;/460/2020/rjp1/ Though she is a destitute widow, she was not selected for employment. Hence, this petition.

4. In case the petitioner has made an application pursuant to the advertisement, the case of the petitioner along with eligible candidates may be considered and appropriate decision may be taken by the authority concerned. No further orders are required in the present writ petition and the same is closed. No costs.
