Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant annual increment for the service rendered by the petitioner from 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2013 and calculate the petitioners annual increment along with his pension and accordingly grant revised pension with arrears and all benefits.

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant annual increment for the service rendered by him from 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2013 and calculate the same along with his pension and then to grant revised pension with arrears and all other benefits.

2. The main grievance of the petitioner is that although he has made a representation dated 27.12.2017 requesting the the respondents to grant annual increment for the services rendered by him in the respondent department between 01.04.2012 and 31.03.2013, the same has not been considered by them till date, therefore, he pleaded, a direction may be given to the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the said representation of the petitioner.

3. Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, by accepting notice for the respondents, sought for four weeks time to dispose of the said representation.

4. Considering the limited prayer of the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2017 on merits and accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
