Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in D.O.No.53/2018-C-2 passed by the second respondent on 17.12.2018 set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the RUKMANI wife of Nagappan aged 53 years, who is now detained in Special Prison for Women, Vellore before this Hon'ble Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention dated 17.12.2018 in order D.O.No.53/2018-C-2, detaining her sister as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2 (b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.450 Home, Prohibition & Excise (XI) Department, dated 07.02.2019 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order.
