Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1/4

praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in his proceedings in Office Memorandum No.E127/BPK/2011/70 dated 09.04.2012, and quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to fix the date of regular appointment of the petitioners as lecturers Grade I, as per the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in No.E127/BPK/99/2118 dated 21.03.2000, and pass further orders.

When the matter was earlier listed on 13.12.2023, there was no representation for the petitioner. Thereafter, the matter was listed on 04.01.2024. Even on that day, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was adjourned to 23.01.2024.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 23.01.2024, none of them appeared on behalf of the petitioner when the matter was called at 3 p.m. Therefore, this Court directed the Registry to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 29.01.2024.

3. Despite the matter is listed today, 29.01.2024 under the caption ''For Dismissal'', there is no representation for the petitioner. It is made clear that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case.

4. Since, there is no representation for the petitioner, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.

5. In the result, the writ petition stands dismissed for NonProsecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
