ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had given a representation on 05.07.2023 to the official respondents for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Mr. D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and would submit that the appropriate Revenue Division is the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tindivanam and not Gingee as disclosed in the cause title of this writ petition. Accordingly, this Court suo motu corrects the Revenue Division of the Revenue Divisional Officer as Tindivanam, Villupuram District instead of Gingee, Villupuram

4. Registry is directed to carryout the amendment accordingly while issuing the order copy to the petitioner.

5. Since no adverse orders are passed against the fifth respondent in this writ petition, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent, is considered on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the objections of the fifth respondent as well as any other third party whom the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tindivanam, Villupuram District deems it fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

8. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tindivanam, Villupuram District to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2023, seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the objections of the fifth respondent as well as any other third party whom the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tindivanam, Villupuram District deems it fit to

enquire.
