JUDGMENT
This appeal is filed challenging the award passed by the Subordinate Judge, Thiruvallur in LAOP No.891 of 2000, fixing the quantum of compensation payable to the claimants/ land owners at Rs.3500/- per cent. Aggrieved by the quantum of compensation, the Special Tahsildar (L.A.), SIPCOT Unit has filed the present Appeal.
2. When the appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the appellant as well as the second respondent, the requisition body would submit that in respect of the appeals filed by the other land owners, who had been affected by the same notification, this court had fixed compensation at Rs.3500/- per cent in A.S.Nos.735 to 747 of 2008 and A.S.Nos.1097 to 1112 of 2007 by a common judgment dated 25.03.2010. Aggrieved by the said
judgment and decree, the second respondent, namely the Managing Director, SIPCOT filed a Special Leave Petitions before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (Civil) CC Nos.20224 to 20252 of 2010 and the same were dismissed by confirming the quantum of compensation fixed by the Division Bench of this Court in the afore said appeals. According to the learned counsel for the appellant as well as the second respondent, the issues involved in this appeal are covered by the Judgment of the Appellate Court in SLP (Civil) CC Nos.20224 to 20252 of 2010, dated 10.01.2011.
3. Recording the above submission, this appeal is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
