Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to transfer the investigation in F.I.R No.487 of 2024 dated 21.08.2024 on the file of the sixth respondent registered at Pallakarani Police Station to Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) Chennai and consequently direct the CB-CID to file a periodic investigation report before the Court. Within a time that may be stipulated by this Court, till the charge sheet is filed before the competent court.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to transfer the investigation in F.I.R No.487 of 2024 dated 21.08.2024 on the file of the sixth respondent registered at Pallakarani Police Station to Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) Chennai and consequently direct the CB-CID to file a periodic investigation report before the Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions submitted that after completion of investigation in Crime No.487 of 2024, charge sheet was filed through e-filing on 10.12.2024 vide e-filing No.LTN20230002823/C202400209 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Alandur.

4. Since the respondent-Police has completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet before the magistrate concerned, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law before the trial court. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
