Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 20.02.2018 to alter the revenue records of the land in Survey No.111/3 to an extent of 0.25 Acre at Arimalai village Ambur Taluk and issue patta in favour of the petitioner.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.02.2018, wherein and whereby, he seeks for grant of patta, cancelling the patta issued in favour of the 3rd respondent.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
