Writ Petition (Criminal) is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection while surveying the petitioner's property comprised in S.Nos.798/2, 799/2 and 800/2 Arangapuram Village, Pennagaram Taluk, Dharmapuri District, more fully described in the Sale Deed Document No.1482 of 2018 dated 14.05.2018 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025. O R D E R

This writ petition (criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection while 1/4

surveying the petitioner's property comprised in S.Nos.798/2, 799/2 and 800/2 situated at Arangapuram Village, Pennagaram Taluk, Dharmapuri District by considering his representation dated 30.10.2025.

2. Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition (criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the prosecution that owing to the obstruction caused by the adjacent land owners during the survey of the petitioner's property, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 30.10.2025, before the second respondent seeking police protection. Since the said representation was not considered, the present petition has been filed.

4. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondent police alleging that the adjacent land owners were creating trouble during the survey of his property. He further submits that an enquiry is pending in CSR.No.6 of 2/4

2026. He further submits that if the first respondent, namely the Tahsildar, fixes a date for surveying the said property and seeks police protection, the same will be considered by the second respondent.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents that the petitioner's request would be considered, if police protection is sought by the Tahsildar, this writ petition (criminal) is disposed of. No costs. 09.01.2026 rap 3/4
