Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the eligible terminal benefits payable to the petitioner's husband with subsequent interest and to register the petitioner's name in the register maintained for giving employment on compassionate ground due to the death of the petitioner's husband while in service taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 31.08.2018.

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition to direct the respondents to settle her the eligible terminal benefits payable to the petitioner's husband with subsequent interest and to register the petitioner's name in the register maintained for giving employment on compassionate ground due to the death of the petitioner's husband while in service, by taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 31.08.2018.

2.Heard Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Govt.Pleader who took notice for the first respondent and Mr.Antony Arockiaraj, learned counsel who took notice for the second respondent. 3.It is seen that the petitioner's husband expired on 09.06.2018 due to the injuries he suffered while attending repairs to the bus belonging to the second respondent Transport Corporation, while in service. It is also seen that the petitioner has made a representation dated 31.08.2018 to the respondents in respect of the prayer made in the writ petition. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court deems it fit to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 31.08.

2018 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
